Following two well-attended webinars over the past weeks, the Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) will host a women-specific webinar for Comrades runners this Thursday, 29 February 2024.
These are aimed at motivating athletes to get on top of their training plan via a series of online sessions for the 97th edition of The Ultimate Human Race, on Sunday, 9 June 2024.
Comrades Coach, Lindsey Parry has encouraged all female athletes to sign up and be part of this specific online session, saying, "The Comrades webinars provide a great guide towards preparations for race day. Our Women’s Webinar is organised specifically for the female ultra-athlete by a team of female professionals. Attendants will also be able to pose questions to the panel and get tailored advice to improve their running.”
Incorporating a total of eight webinars in the build-up to this year’s 49th Up Run, the webinar schedule includes general information as well as novice-specific and women-specific sessions.

The 97th Comrades Marathon will be an Up Run on Sunday, 9 June 2024, starting at the Durban City Hall at 05h30 and ending 12 hours later at the HollywoodBets Scottsville Racecourse in Pietermaritzburg.
