With two days to go before The Race to Gender Equality incorporating the ASA 10km Championships, corresponding road closures have been announced for Sunday 10 March.
The Race Director, Enoch Skosana has called on residents and motorists to note that traffic flow in the area and along the route of the races will be affected.
“We are hosting a half marathon, a 10km and 5km races this Sunday we therefore call upon road users and residents to take note of the temporal inconvenience which affect all those who live around the routes.
“Affected residents and road users are requested to exercise patience during the period of the race. All efforts have been made to educate and encourage all participants to be at their best behaviour throughout the presence in the areas of the race. For those attending the races will be pleased to know that parking is free,” said Skosana.

Metro Police will be deployed along with marshals and private security company and will tow any vehicles parked on the non-parking areas including residential pavement.
